  The Quali-T-Doc Charter

In addition to your rights as set out in the Independent Healthcare, National Standards Regulations available on the DoH web site at www.doh.gov.uk/ncsc, we offer the following additional information:

Quali-T-Doc only carries emergency drugs and does not dispense drugs. We can however advise you on several pharmacies.

If the Doctor believes and/or agrees that a second opinion is necessary we will try to ensure that it is with a Consultant acceptable to you.

We prefer that patients refrain from attending the Casualty Departments at local Hospitals for trivial complaints, illnesses and/or injuries, especially if sustained over more than one day, when an appointment with your local NHS or private surgery would have sufficed or indeed if a visit from Quali-T-Doc would have helped. This is so that the Accident and Emergency Departments can indeed get on with their accidents and emergencies.

We also aim to ensure Privacy and Confidentiality at all times. Access to information held on computer is restricted to Quali-T-Doc staff and subject to the Data Protection Act.

All independent clinics and hospitals registered with the Healthcare Commission are required to have a policy to deal with complaints. If you are unhappy with your treatment you should tell your provider and give them the opportunity to discuss and resolve your complaint. If you are still unhappy you can make a complaint to the Care Quality Commission, The Independent Healthcare Forum or Trading Standards.
